Bombs and obstacles
Game: The bombs (red balls) are jumpable and now there can't be more than 2 full width walls next to each other. Home: Added the changelog to the homepage with the latest update(mobile has a floating button instead). PSA: be sure to leave your nickname if you want to be featured in the changelog!

Added a minigame
An empty page when you hit play is ugly so @Pengwynn suggested to add some minigame. I picked up a character i made in the past and put it in a temple run-like game. I gotta say it doesnt fit well with the neon-basic environment i made, sorry not sorry! Other changes: - from mobile now there is a floating button to submit the idea - fixed some graphical issues on the main page

Better interaction with the community is crucial; that’s why I really appreciated this comment, and it was the first thing I wanted to address before moving on to other ideas.

Allow the monkey to PARRY the red balls to get MONKEY POINTS that will let the monkey run much faster for a bit of time.

Main character should be a female. This is a must.

Hi! I'm the one who suggested the parries so I'm happy it was added. The game is interesting yet I believe the core gameloop could be improved. Only running and running gets boring. Let's add a shop where you can use your bananas to buy items. Every (idk how much) 300 bananads, your monkey should slow down and approach a shop that you can enter. Anyway, the first item can be a shield that gives you a shield icon next to your health, protecting you from a single hit?

If this is a social experiment, provide some insight on what you hope or expect to learn from this

My initial idea was to leave everything to the users. Then they asked me to provide a minigame because there was and empty page when you hit "play the game" and now they are focussing on improving this one. They also asked this to prove that I can "make something" but that was not the point. My idea is still to start from that empty page and see if we will get a beautiful mess, a controlled chaos. People all over the world creating something that everyone might like? Maybe a failure? Basically my curiosity pushed me to find what clueless people could make with zero inputs.

Unfortunately there are just few people and little interaction between each other. Also one post was to add replies and like/dislikes which at first I didn't think of. This aspect is another thing to consider in the experiment. Maybe they will improve the task management thing first to get a better understanding

Make sure its clear to everyone that this is a mini game inside the game so maybe we can create our main character starting inside an arcade with multiple arcade machines

My idea was to start from scratch while the community build it one piece at time.

Yes we can give it a framework?

Allow the monkey to SUPER JUMP by holding down and then pressing up. Also include some taller obstacles to make super jump useful, but make them further apart than normal obstacles in order for the super jumps to have time to be used.

There's a problem in the obstacles generation. I stumbled upon three consecutive walls that cover the three lanes. It's impossible to overcome them.

you must jump them
aiermano · Jul 8, 21:12
Yes, but the distance between the walls is constant, while the speed (and jump distance) increases. When consecutive walls appear and you have enough speed, you fall straight into the next wall before landing.
